VILLA BELVEDERE
built in 1902, is discreetly situated in the rich green belt surrounding Taormina, near the town's Botanical gardens and the ruins of the ancient...

...GreekRoman...amphitheatre. Although it has been renovated over the years, the hotel still has managed to retain its original cosy and friendly atmosphere.

Most of the 47 simple and well-furnished rooms overlook the terraced gardens planted with orange and lemon trees, and swimming pool, the splendid Bay of Naxos and Mount Etna in the distance. Villa Belvedere is only a 5 minutes stroll from the historical sites, yet sheltered from the hustle and bustle of town life. It is also in proximity to the cable-car and steps leading down to the sea. Villa Belvedere is well suited for the independent and discerning traveller. It has adopted the "Bed and Breakfast" system, which is ideal for those who wish to be free from fixed meals.

However, it offers an excellent buffet lunch and à la carte menu around the swimming pool from April to October. The warm welcome and personal service guaranteed by the Pécaut-Bambara family, allows guests to take home a little of the spirit and character of this charming old hotel. Villa Belvedere is open from the 20th of February to the 20th of November, and from the 19th of December until the 15th of January.

How to reach us
When visiting Taormina, you will either arrive in Sicily by plane at Catania airport, on the Eastern coast (driving time from Catania to Taormina is 50 minutes by car), or from Palermo airport, on the Western coast, (driving time from Palermo to Taormina is 3 hours by car).

Arrival by plane
Catania: Fontanarossa, Catania (approx. 50 km). Take Autostrada A18 (Motorway or Highway A19) direction Messina. Exit at Taormina. After the toll gate, drive towards Taormina centro. To reach the hotel, you should have in hand the printed web map and follow the red dotted-lined path which will bring you to the hotel, or you can follow the instructions below. Palermo: Falcone-Borsellino, Palermo (approx. 300 km). Take Autostrada A18 (Motorway or Highway A19) direction Messina. Exit at Taormina. After the toll gate, drive towards Taormina centro. Arrival from mainland Italy by car or train
You can also arrive from Messina by car or by train after having crossed the Straits of Messina by ferry from Villa San Giovanni in Calabria (second-last exit of Autostrada del Sole); car: take Autostrada A18 direction Catania. Exit at Taormina. train: arrival in TAORMINA-GIARDINI-NAXOS. Take taxi from train station to Villa Belvedere.

It is possible to reserve in advance with our hotel the services of a private chauffeur who will be waiting for you at the airport and will drive you directly to Villa Belvedere. Please note that the rate (85,00 euros) negotiated by our hotel is less expensive than the standard taxi rate.

Directions
Motorway A18 exit Taormina. Follow Taormina centro, then ringroad. Road changes name a few times: Via S.Pancrazio becomes Via Costantino Patricio and then Via Circonvallazione. At Hotel Méditerranée, left into Via Dionisio which becomes Via Apollo Arcageta. At Piazza San Antonio, take Via Pietro Rizzo left of chapel., then Via Roma. Right into Via Bagnoli Croci, Villa Belvedere hotel on right.
